Bob,

I was just last week visiting to Larry Rowe's group at Berkeley and they 
have been making some good
progress on mjpeg. I saw a pretty impressive demo running on Linux for both 
capture and decode..
Also at Argonne we have been prototyping mjpeg codecs integrated into vic.
