Hello Everyone:

Bryant York and I would like to use your AG nodes for a series of
Distributed Rap Sessions. Our first rap session was held in September
followed by one at SC2000. Theses sessions were considered very
successful by all who attended. At this time, we would like to schedule a
series of sessions to start in February. Instead of us setting up a
schedule and then asking the sites if they would be available, we thought
that it would be best to first ask the sites about availability and then
identify a schedule. Our goal is to have at most 4 sites participate in
any session to insure that that everyone has time to speak and the session
is like a conversation instead of a meeting.

Please let us know if your node is available for use for a distributed rap
session on any of the following dates. All dates are Thursdays and we
would like to have the session from 2-4:30pm Eastern time.

	15 February 2001
	1 March 2001
	15 March 2001
	29 March 2001
	8 April 2001
	22 April 2001

THANKS!
Valerie and Bryant

DESCRIPTION OF RAP SESSIONS

The particular project relates to using the AG to create a virtual
community of minority graduate students in the field of computing. As you
know the number of minority graduate students in computing at any given
school is very low, generally in the single digits and more than likely
less than 5. We would like to initiate a project that uses the AG nodes
to hold distributed discussion meetings with a focus topic. We have
discussed this project with Terry, Rick and Roscoe, who were all very
positive about the project.
