Here is what we have been able to figure out about the network challenge
rules

Prizes will be awarded (as follows) at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday (some
or all of the below, at judge's discretion)*:

- Most data transferred into and out of the convention center
during the 3-hour period by a real application,

- Highest instantaneous link bandwidth achieved at any time into or out of 
the convention center during the 3 hour period by a real application [this 
to prevent the team(s) with access to high-speed external nets getting all 
the prizes],

- Highest fraction of available peak bandwidth achieved into and/or out of the
convention center during the 3-hour period by a real application

- Most interesting application.

We think the 3 hour period will be sometime between noon on tuesday and 
noon weds..
