MHPCC Access Grid Demo on Sept. 29th

MHPCC would like to schedule a demo of the Access Grid:

Date -- Wednesday, Sept. 29th 

Time -- 9:30 am - 10:30 am HST  - 1:30 pm MDT, 2:30 pm CDT, 3:30 pm EDT

Event -- Meeting for the Technical Task Force of the Regional Ed Laboratory

Site Coordinator -- Margaret Lewis and Cheryl Lawrence

I would like to request UNM (Frank, Ernie, Evans), NCSA (Lisa Bievenue), ANL
(any of grid tech team to answer specific tech questions), and BU (Roscoe and/or
Raquell) to participate. Any other site interested iX-Mozilla-Status: 0009e also
welcome to attend. 

The Technology Task Force of the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Network
Program includes a technology representative from each of the 10 RELs, usually
the CIO or the MIS Director.  The group meets on a quarterly basis to share
experiences, explore new technology applications and their uses, and advise the
CEOs of the 10 independent RELs. The Pacific Regional Ed Lab (PREL), based in
Honolulu, is hosting this quarterly meeting and is bringing the group for a
visit to MHPCC.

The group is interested in an overview of the EOT/PACI work and three of
the labs have been involved lately in experimenting with videoconferencing over
IP. All of the labs are actively involved in using the web to provide technical
assistance and resources for teachers. PREL is involved in long distance
learning initiatives throughout the Pacific Rim.
