[AG-DEV] VPCScreen and newer codecs

Hi Jason,

When I originally wrote VPCScreen, I tried Mpeg4 and Theora but at the time they
were too slow for the size of the desktops I was trying to stream, hence I
quickly whipped up H261AS, mainly to demo at the AG retreat. It was never
intended to get out into the wild but I released it anyway never really expecting
it to be used widely.

I suspect Moore's law would make H264 (or MPEG4 or Theora) feasible now. I don't
have the spare cycles to do this myself but I could help someone out if they
needed to pick my brain (I haven't touched this for over 5 years so I'm not sure
how useful I will be).

Hope all is well with you.

Cheers,
    Rhys

I am seeing an increasing demand and utilization of "Bridged" AG (and other technologies) sessions. The unfortunately issue is that whenever another uses VPCScreen ("sharing the desktop"), other technologies are unable to see the video transmission.
