Todd

I had similar issues, but it occurred for me when I updated to the latest kernel... Booting backing to an older kernel fixed it for me.

I would be curious if this occurs for you as well. Unfortunately I didn't get much time to test it.

Cheers,
Jason.

Subject: Re: [AG-DEV] AG 3.2 VideoProducer Issue

I'm also having issues with VideoProducers on the latest vic and/or AG builds. I'd have to revert
to figure out when it started (version wise) and I haven't defined (yet) exact steps to duplicate
but here are some of the symptoms.

1. When selecting some combination of devices/encoding, I end up with hung vics. These vics are
not just hung - but HUNG. Can't kill -9 them, sudo kill -9 them or even log out to kill them. It
takes a complete reboot to get rid of them. Sometimes this happens when selecting 'release' or
unselecting 'Transmit'.

2. I've just added two v4l2 producers and, although one shows as V4L2:/dev/video1 and one shows as
V4L2:/dev/video2 in the vic title bars, they are both actually set for /dev/video1 in the vic menu
and beside the thumbnail. and thus the second vic instance doesn't show any video.

On another note, I don't seem to be able to send large video anymore (352x288 is all I get) no
matter what I try - but this could be user error. Do I need to change any settings on the capture
module??

The second issue may be related to the Impact VCB cards I use, but I've seen issue #1 on my local
box that has a standard WinTV Bt878 based card.

What can I provide to diagnose this issue better?

Cheers,

Todd
