Application -- Venue interaction

There is no doc, this is unsupported functionality. When we support this it
will be documented by the design doc that was done before the programming.
This functionality is in place only to address other problems. That was the
point of the part of the mail that isn't included -- this isn't done, and we
aren't supporting it, it's specifically in place to address terry's request.
