Branch for 2.0

I checked that branch out without any difficulty.  If the problem you 
had involved an inability to create a lock, your CVSROOT probably points 
at /cvsroot, instead of /sandbox/cvs.  cvs is unhappy with symlinks in 
the CVSROOT.
