Though if we turn on track changes inside word (everybody should be using
word) then we will be safe in at least doc files.

Just so we're all on the same page. If something is marked as binary for
CVS, CVS can't do revision control. What that means is a commit blows away
the previous version. Just a heads up in case you wonder why you can't get a
previous version.
