[petsc-users] Configure/make with "--download-hdf5" or "--with-hdf5-dir=" crashes

This works for me with examples..

--download-hdf5=http://www.hdfgroup.org/ftp/HDF5/prev-releases/hdf5-1.8.13/src/hdf5-1.8.13.tar.gz
