I suspect a problem with your MPI configuration. Can you run a simple
MPI program in parallel? To investigate, run in a debugger or attach a
debugger after it has hung.
mpiexec -n 2 ./app -start_in_debugger
OR
mpiexec -n 2 xterm -e gdb --args ./app
OR
mpiexec -n 2 ./app &
gdb -pid `pgrep app`
What does the stack trace look like?
