Sure, unless you hate wrappers. Perhaps you'd like to compile conftest
without linking MPI so that it can run on the login node.

X11, OpenPA (which we should be using), cairo (which would be much better
for drawing than raw X), NetCDF, ImageMagick, Valgrind.
