Yop Tubois,
As far as I known, visit has no problem handling three digits files. For
the same case, my .nek3d metafile on my laptop simply reads:
NEK5000
version: 1.0
filetemplate: ext_cyl.fld%02d
firsttimestep: 001
numtimesteps: 999
for instance. Have you tried that?
