Hello all,
At present we are working on understanding some rotating/traveling waves
that occur in a cylindrical geometry. In particular, the effect of the
grid on the solution is of interest. The results from the following
grid in the xy plane, (it is simply extruded in the z direction) exhibit
a somewhat unexpected (chaotic) behavior. Would welcome any and all
comments concerning the quality of this mesh.

P.S. The reason for looking at a mesh with m=3 symmetry is due to the
existence of either m=3 and m=4 rotating/traveling waves; meshes with
m=3 and m=5 symmetry have also been looked at and give identical (non
chaotic) results.
Cheers,
Frank
