<p class="MsoNormal">PETSc 3.7.2 seems to have a much higher memory usage when compared with PETSc- 3.1.1 c, to a point that it crashes our code for large problems that we ran with version 3.6.1 in the past.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I have re-compiled the code with same options, and ran the same code linked with the two versions, here are the log-summarie:</p></div></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>According to the log_summary (which you NEED to send in full if we are to understand anything), the memory usage is largely the same.</div><div>There are more matrices, which leads me to believe that GAMG is not coarsening as quickly.
