[petsc-users] Installing PETSc with make install

What is the correct way to do make install? Is it still working?

 

I tried the following and failed:

 

1)

(i)      cd petsc-dev

(ii)    ./configure --prefix=$HOME

(iii)   make all

(iv)  make install PETSC_DIR=$PWD

 

 

2)

(i)                  cd petsc-dev

(ii)                ./configure

(iii)               Make all

(iv)              make install DESTDIR=$HOME
