out of memory error

This matrix should take approximately 20389756*(8+4)=244677072, i.e
app 250MB ram.

i.e the memory usage [upto 3GB] must be somewere else.

One issue coud be memory leak [due to object not being destroyed
properly]. This can be checked with the option -malloc_dump
