Multiple versions of PetSc

To build a different configuration of PETSc:

  1) cd $PETSC_DIR

  2) configure with new options, including --PETSC_ARCH=<new arch name>

  3) make PETS_ARCH=<new arch name>

  4) Build your code with PETSC_ARCH=<new arch name>
