[petsc-dev] Question on TESTEXAMPLES_C_X vs TESTEXAMPLES_C_X_MPIUNI

Hi,

I'm trying to understand the differences between two variables in makefiles in the tutorials
and tests directories. Below I have the two with my guesses at their meanings.

TESTEXAMPLES_C_X

    - C examples requiring PETSc configured with '--with-x=1'.

TESTEXAMPLES_C_X_MPIUNI

   - C examples requiring PETSC configured with '--with-x=1' and '--with-mpi=0'.

        or

   - C examples requiring PETSc configured with '--with-mpi=0' only.

The last one is the most confusing to me and I'm not sure if the correct meaning is the first or
the second. Can someone please clarify?

Thanks,
Travis
