    we create a xxxxconfig.h file for every other package xxxx? I really don't think so, in fact we never create an xxxxconfig.h file for any package. 

     We do "patch" other packages to fix bugs in them. But this is not a bug in magma, it is just a poor design choice. We live with poor design choices in other packages we don't rewrite the other packages to match our own (better) design choices.
