Call For Paper

http://www.cs.nthu.edu.tw/~cherung/workshop/escape/index.html

The Second International Workshop on Extreme Scale Computing
APplication Enablement - Modeling and Tools (ESCAPE) will be held in
conjunction with the 14th International Conference on High Performance
Computing and Communications (HPCC 2012) in Liverpool, UK on June
25-27, 2012. The goal of this workshop is to promote community-wide
discussion identifying the methodologies, analysis, and software
tools, which can enable effective and scalable performance evaluation
for extreme scale computing systems. We seek submissions of papers
that invent new techniques, introduce new methodologies, propose new
research directions and discuss approaches for unsolved issues.

The topics of this workshop are related to methodological aspects as
well as practical of the application enablement in extreme scale
computing. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to)

* Performance modeling for all aspects of extreme scale systems, e.g.,
cores, memory, interconnect and I/O, etc.
* Algorithms for self-tuning and -optimization of applications in
extreme scale computing
* Profiling and debugging tools for applications in extreme scale computing
* Performance, tracing and simulation tools with extreme scalability
* Methodologies and tools for extreme scale performance evaluation,
and verification
* Empirical and deployment studies of extreme scale performance tools:
challenges, techniques and lessons

Important Dates

* Submission Deadline:	10 April, 2012
* Author Notification:	23 April, 2012
* Final Manuscript Due:	08 May, 2012
* Registration Due:	08 May, 2012
* Workshop Date:	25-27 June, 2012

Submission Instructions

Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting
original unpublished research and recent related developments. The
length of the papers should not exceed 6 pages + 2 pages for
overlength charges (IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts
style: two columns, single-spaced, 10-point font), including figures
and references. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings
Author Guidelines.

Once accepted, the paper will be included into the IEEE conference
proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society Press (indexed by EI).
Distinguished selected papers will be published in Special Issues of
Journals indexed by SCI.

At least one of the authors of any accepted paper is requested to
register the paper.
