On the subject of benchmarking, is the 'csnap' code in the test/ build directory something that would provide reasonable performance numbers? In my vast amounts of spare time, I'm looking at the parallel netcdf performance on the SHARCNET clusters (sharcnet.ca), and am wondering if I need to build a more stringent test than csnap gives.
