<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi Paul, <br></div><div><br> </div><div>I have avg_all dump frequency defined as equal to iostep so on every run i got the same amount of blah0.f**** and avgblah0.f**** files. The thing is, after I execute visnek and open the *.nek5000 with paraview, the blah.nek5000 has, let's say, 50 timesteps and the avgblah.nek5000 only shows 3 timesteps out of the same amount of files.</div><div><br></div><div>I tried with p68=0 (wich makes iastep=iostep) and p68=10 with the same result.</div><div><br></div><div>Nicolás</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div><pre>Hi Nicolas,
Frequency of the average output is controlled by param 68.
Default I believe is 500 if p68=0.
Note that if you output avg files every time step it will look just like
a regular f0000 file because each avg file is just an average over the
steps from the previous avg output step. So, in the case of p68=500,
avgx0.f00001 would have the average for steps 1-500; ...02 would have
501 to 1000; etc.
hth,
Paul<br><br></pre></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><pre>Dear Neks,
I'm running some cases of natural convection flows inside a box domain and I want to compute and visualize turbulent statistics of the velocity fields.
I tried this workflow:
- Call avg_all on every usrchk execution, thus I got a avg/rms/rm2-blah0.f* file for each iostep.
- Execute visnek for each series of *blah0.f* files
- Open the *.nek5000 files on paraview.
blah.nek5000 works fine, showing all fields on every timestep, but for the avg,rms and rm2 series I only a few timesteps 'frames' out of all the *blah0.f* files.
Last test I ran was:
p010 = 100 seconds
p015 = 50
p068 = 0
which outputted 200 *blah0.f* from where I got 200 timesteps frames for regular blah0.f* and only 4 timesteps for the avg_all fields.
I would like some advice on how to properly generate the avg_all files or the post-processing workflow requiered to get a 'smooth' visualizing of the statistics.
Regards,
Nicolás</pre></blockquote></blockquote><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><div class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><b>Nicolás Andrés Órdenes Leiva</b><div><b><br></b><div><div>Estudiante de Ingeniería Civil Mecánica</div><div>Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María</div><div>Tel: +56 9 7619 2857</div></div></div></div></div></div>
