[Nek5000-users] Periodic box of isotropic turbulence

Hi all,


Just wondering if there are any examples of simulation of isotropic turbulence in a triply periodic box (using linear forcing or otherwise).


I'm hoping to obtain a flow similar to that of

which seems to have a relatively simple forcing function proportional to velocity. However, when using F_i = A*u_i in the userf subroutine,  I end up with something that isn't isotropic.


Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated,
