Dear Rif,

I think that a good starting point would be to use the time history of  
the RANS field as a time-varying inflow condition of your Nek  
simulation. We did that in one of our cases, where we imposed a  
time-varying inflow from a DNS to run another DNS, and the results  
were excellent. See attached paper for further details.
