Hi Hesam,

I would recommend using mpixlf77/mpipxlc.  In general, c32 mode seem to work better but it is always a good idea to test.

I am not aware of any other tunings improving Nek performance on BG/Q.

thanks for the quick reply. Also, would you recommend gcc or xlf 
compiler? what about ranks-per-node? Also in the makenek.inc, you have 
BG flag for /L and /P, I was wondering if you know the optimum tunings 
for /Q ?
