Hi All,

I'm using nek and Visit on a Linux platform, and Visit seems to work
fine with my binary output files (param66 and param67 =4). However, if
I download all these files to a windows machine, and run visit on them,
it gives me the error:

"VisIt could not read from the file "C:\temp\wind_base.nek5000".

The generated error message was:

There was an error opening C:\temp\wind_base.nek5000. It may be an
invalid file. VisIt tried using the following file format readers to
open the file: Nek5000

The following error(s) may be helpful in identifying the problem:

When attempting to use "Nek", the file matched the general format
expected by the reader but eventually encountered this error: "The first
time step in a Nek file must contain a mesh"."

File names are all the same, did binary ftp transfer, transferred all
the files (.rea, .usr, etc...; except the obj directory) to make sure I
wasn't missing something, and the mesh shows fine on the Linux machine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Murph
