Paul

I issued your command and this is what I got. There is an X in there, but
Visit doesn't think that the geometry is in there. (My square duct is 24 x
24 x 36 cells).
Rich

head -1 sqduct0.f00001 | strings | head -1
#std 4 8 8 8 20736 20736 0.1000000000000E-02 2 0 1

Hi Rich,

In principle, this happens automatically.

Can you please do the following:

head -1 blah | strings | head -1

where "blah" is the name of your first field file ?

There should be an "X" in the header indicating that this
has the geometry --- if not, I'd like to know about it so
that we can fix whatever went wrong.

Thanks,

Paul
