Hi Paul,

I am studying a particular sort of 2D convective flow that occurs in periodic-side boxes. It is seen most easily with free-slip velocity. I would like to find solutions of this type in a full annulus also, but I have had no luck with the parameters and IC's I've tried thus far.

So, I want to try a piece of an annulus first, where I expect to find what I want more easily. Then I would work my way up to a full annulus. As I said before, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 would probably suffice if that were easier to implement.

But it sounds like this may be hard to do...

Best,

David

To make sure I was doing the cyclic BC right, I changed to no-slip and tried it with Pn/Pn, and that worked, so I think Paul may have been right about cyclic BC no working with Pn/Pn-2. Do you think there is a way around this? I unfortunately need the stress-free boundaries or something similar.
