[Nek5000-users] Extracting data from fld files

Dear Nek devs,

     I would like to extract the time series of fields at a particular 
point in the geometry from the fld files and dump it into an ASCII file. 
For ex: In a box of size [0,1]x[0,1], how do I extract the fields at say 
(0.5, 0.5). Is it possible to directly access the field data 
corresponding to a specific geometric location (even though it's on 
another processor).
