Hello ,<br><br>I have been reading through the mailing lists<br>and i must say you guys are doing a nice job.<br><br>I started to set up MPICH2 last week.<br>We have cluster of 5 computers running 64-bit win 7.<br><br>I installed 64-bit Mpich2 ver 1.4 in three of the machines.<br>
Turned the Firewall down.<br><br>Smpd -status on each machine return's running.<br>However when i try to find the status of other hosts<br>it simply times out.<br><br>So uninstalled 64 bit and installed 32-bit as instructed <br>
in section 9.4 of the installation guide.<br>Everything seems to be fine in 32 bit.<br>I was able to run "hello world" using multiple hosts.<br><br>But, when i try to send data using MPI_Send from<br>one host to the other, It simply hangs.<br>
However, process within the same host are able to <br>send and receive data using MPI_Send.<br><br>This is very puzzling to me,<br>Am I doing anything wrong.<br>It will be helpful if someone can point me in the<br>right direction.<br>
