What are you using for your launcher? MPD (if that's what your using) has some setup that needs to be done first before things will work.<div><br></div><div>Have you tried just launching something simple like 'mpiexec -np 2 ls' ?<br>
<div><br></div><div>The macports version is still on 1.2.1p1. Perhaps I'll update it to 1.3.3rc1 with HYDRA as the default launcher and you can try again -- I see no one has touched it in a while. I'll send you a note when it's available. You'll still need to do some minimal setup for HYDRA, as outlined in the MPICH2 documentation.</div>

I've installed Mpich2 from macports using gcc 4.5.2. When I attempt to run a program with mpiexec I receive error messages, as follows:<br>

There are also two GUI windows that open and quickly close, which I recognize as the usual Mac OS Allow/Deny program execution dialogue. After seeing these windows, I thought the execution might be having problems with permissions, so I reentered the command using sudo, but I got an additional error message:<br>

/opt/local/bin/mpdroot: open failed for root's mpd conf filempiexec_comp.local (__init__ 1208): forked process failed; status=255<br>

Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated.<br>
