I do not have any experience in LAM-MPI. So, my answer only concerns
OpenMPI.<br>
<br>
To verify that your libmpi.so library contains (or not) ROMIO, just
issue the following command:<br>
nm libmpi.so | grep MPI_File<br>
<br>
Your should see all the ROMIO interface.<br>
<br>
There is no mpio.h file, all is in mpi.h.<br>

mpicc and mpif90 are wrappers that make "a bit more" than just
calling gcc and gfortran. That could explain your error.<br>
