during compilation). That is the case where I had used the correct MPICH-C++ compiler (mpicxx) but incompatible libraries from open-mpi. The code runs fine after fixing up the inconsistency.</font></span></div>

Can you check if "mycode" is really compiled with MPICH2's headers<br>
and libraries ? Besides looking at your Makefile or build script,<br>
you can run nm on "mycode" to see if it has MPICH2 symbols... or<br>
ldd on "mycode" (AFAIK, OpenMPI uses shared library by default).<br>
