[mpich-discuss] Fatal error in PMPI_Comm_rank

int main( int argc, char *argv[] )
{
   int rank, size, err;
   MPI_Init(&argc, &argv);
   MPI_Comm_rank(MPI_COMM_WORLD, &rank);
   MPI_Comm_size(MPI_COMM_WORLD, &size);
....
}

I am currently using MPI_COMM_WORLD communicator as above.
Can I ask how I can change the communicator to remove the error?
Thanks.

To state the obvious, looks like you are trying to find the rank in an
invalid communicator :-).
