Hi,

Ubuntu 10.10 has mpich2 1.2.1.1. The next version of Ubuntu will have
mpich2 >= 1.3.1. If you want to get mpich2 1.3.1 installed via a package
on Ubuntu 10.10, you could try to download the package from Debian
experimental at
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/mpich2/mpich2_1.3.1-1.dsc, and
rebuild it.
