Hi,
 To install MPICH2 on windows 7 please follow the steps below,

1) Open a command prompt with administrator privileges (Right-click on "command prompt" icon and select "Run as administrator").
2) Run "msiexec /i mpich2-1.2.1-x86-64.msi" to install MPICH2.

 Let us know it it works for you.

(PS: Similarly to uninstall MPICH2 run "msiexec /x mpich2-1.2.1-x86-64.msi")

Dear all: 

I want to install Mpich2 in windows 7, but it does not work and show: 
Error: No smpd passphrase specified through the registry or .smpd file, exiting. 

I have closed the User Accoutn Coutrol and firewall, what can I do?
