[MPICH] configure broken in 1.0.5p4

FreeBSD 6.2-stable.

That's the problem.  I don't use bash and don't normally
have it installed on FreeBSD.  I had to retrieve bash,
via FreeBSD ports collection, install it, and then build
1.0.5p4.  FreeBSD's Bourne shell is based on ashe, and 
AFAIK sh is targetted at posix compliance.
