We played Holdin' Our Own tonight. Briefly:

Cari played unforgiving opponent Scott Peterson in a 1:4; he's tough
and took Cari out, 0:4.

Craig played Jenny next in a 1:4. Jenny is also tough but much more
forgiving; she was about to close out the match, having won the first
3 games, but Craig made a nice 3 ball run to get to the 8 which he
then sank for the match. A good, overdue win, 1:3.

Tami went next against Cat in a 2:2. Cat took the first game, but
Tami came back in the second. Until she got to the 8, which eluded
every pocket in which she tried to sink it. Cat caught up, and then
sank the 8 to take the second game and the match, 0:2.

Paul L played the 4th match against Jim in a 3:1. Jim came out
shooting, making shots and making it tough on Paul, esp since Paul was
on the high-side of the matchup with no games to give. Paul still had
a number of balls left on the table when Jim got to the 8 and just
couldn't catch up in time; he went down, 0:1.

I finished the night against Tome in a 2:3. I got off to a good
start, winning the first game, but that was thanks in part to Tome not
having such a good start, missing a number of shots he'd normally
make. That apparently got him focused, as he stopped missing and
turned up the defense, taking the next 3 games and the match, 1:3.

So only 1 win for the night.

We did a little better last week against Nice Rack, but not much:

Cari started us off on the right track getting a much needed win in
the opener, a 2:2 against Melanie, which she won 2:1.

Craig played Mike next in a 2:3 and won the 3rd game, but in the end
went down 1:3.

Jack played next against Gene in a 2:2, Jack's first match in his
return to Team Moe. Gene was shooting well though, and Jack was a bit
rusty, resulting in a loss, 0:2.

I played the 4th match against Glenn, a 3:3. I took the first game,
but wasn't shooting that great and couldn't take another, losing the
match 1:3.

Paul H closed out the night against Chuck in a 2:3. Paul was shooting
very well and beat Chuck handily, 2:0.

So 2 wins last week.
