Attached are the results and stats for week 6. Please review for accuracy. I’ve also attached next week’s scoresheets, which will be in your folders.

Pool Class. Dean and Ron are teaching their pool class beginning Saturday Nov 2. We recommend the beginning/intermediate for handicaps < 20. The intermediate/advanced would be recommended for those with handicaps > 60. Those in between could benefit from either class and you might consider the beginning class if you’ve never taken it before. If you’ve taken the classes before, you might consider the advanced class. It’s structured similar to the beginning class with much more emphasis on english, position play and strategy. Argonne Pool League members will receive $25 off. Make sure and sign up next week with Dean.

The Illinois Billiards Club in conjunction with the Argonne Billiards Club and several park districts will be offering Beginning/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced Pool Classes. These classes will be held starting Saturday, November 2 for 5 sessions beginning at 11am to 1pm and 2 pm to 4 pm respectively. They are taught by Drs. Dean Bass and Ron Shepard.

Periscope. We had periscope running on most tables and it can be a good tool to review your play or point out suggestion for improvement to your fellow players. You can watch matches live on the Periscope app or at Periscope.tv<http://Periscope.tv>. Search for LeaguePool, or the Argonne pool league. Highlights and Shout-outs. I’d like to provide an opportunity to highlight accomplishments and events by teams or individuals in our league. They can be a big match, a great table run, 8-ball on the break, whatever you're proud of or want to recognize someone for. Maybe even trash talk if you like (within reason). And it doesn’t have to be pool related either, birthday recognition, new baby, big accomplishment, get well wishes, whatever. Just email Jason and I or tell us Tuesday night. Try to send it by noon on Wednesday to get it in the current week email. This week: Shout out to Jill Case, on “Bass Ackward” for running her first Chicago marathon. Congratulations. Also, last night, there were some good matches and shots. Ron and Dean played a match, which unfortunately was dominated by Ron, but he had several nice table runs in his 4-1, annihilation of Dean. There was a real close match between John Derby and Tim Tyska and a great 8 ball bank in the side off the end rail by Dennis Hottman. Check out periscope to see all these for real.
