[POOL] Game called for 6PM

Results:

Martino played Jeff in a 2:3 before I arrived. Martino continued his winning ways and prevailed 2-1. The victory moved Martino into sole possession of first place in the performance ratings.

Simultaneously, Derek was sacrificed to Frank on Table 5 in a 6:1. The tight pockets and Frank’s good shooting apparently kept Derek stymied. Frank prevailed 6-0.

We put up Paul L and they selected Dave Grimm as his opponent for a 4:2 matchup (IIRC, the matchup was one point away from being 4:1). Paul was shooting well, winning game 1 and getting to the 8 first in game 2. Unfortunately, after Paul mkissed a tough shot on the 8, Dave ran out. Dave started to warm up a bit and took the next two games. In the last game, Dave got into his own head, eventually miscuing and giving Paul ball in hand with only a few balls left on the table. Paul ran out, taking the game and match.

They put up Missy and we decided that we liked Roger in a 2:2. Unfortunately, Missy was shooting very well. She and Roger alternated wins, resulting in a 2-1 victory for Missy.

I was next up and they matched with Rocky in a 4:2. I was shooting fairly well and Rocky made some mistakes. I took the first game and held on in the fourth game, eventually getting ball in hand shooting on the 8 to take the game and the match, 2-2.

We also made up one match. Roger played Art while I was playing Rocky. I was busy with my own match, but it sounded like Art was really on his game and the one game penalty for a make up didn’t do Roger any favors. Art won something like 3-0.

We were 3-3 on the night. In our regular matchups, the team that put up first prevailed in every match. So much for strategical selection of the matchup.

Paul

Is anyone playing? I've got a typhoon at home.
