And now results from this past Tue. We played X-Cue-Ses, Jason's
team.

Tami started off the night against Gaylen in a 1:4. I again arrived
at Q after the match had finished, but that was because Tami quickly
dispensed with Gaylen 1:2 for a much needed match win.

Jack played next against Jason in a 2:2. Jack is still getting used
to the game, and despite making some good shots, we hasn't able to
secure a win. Jack went down 0:2.

Martino played the 3rd match as our sacrifice to Pat in a 1:9 matchup.
Surprisingly, Pat gave Martino a couple of turns at the table in most
of the games which Martino put to good use. In one (iirc), Martino
got to shoot on the 8, and it looked like he would take the match, but
the 8 went just wide of the pocket. Ultimately, Pat was just too
tough, and Martino went down, 0:9.

I played next against Seungbum in a 4:1. After winning the lag, I
failed to sink anything on the break in the opening game, but on my
next turn at the table, I ran all 7 of my balls and the 8 to take the
first game. I continued shooting well and took the 2nd, and was on my
way to winning the 3rd until Seungbum left the cueball snookered
behind one of his remaining 2 balls. I was shooting on the 8 at that
point, so without a clear shot (not even a single rail bank), I
gambled and just handed over the cueball to him in the hopes that he
wouldn't run his remaining 2 balls and the 8. Fortunately, the gamble
payed off when he missed his first shot and left me with a long but
easy cut on the 8. Unfortunately, I missed the cut, sending the 8
just wide of its intended pocket, parking it less than an inch from
pocket. Seungbum then sank his remaining balls and the 8 to take
the match, 2:1. Personally, I blame the missed 8 on my not properly
addressing the ball when shooting; I won't make that mistake
again... :)

In the final sacrifice of the night, Paul went up against Ron in
another 1:9. Following Pat's lead, Ron uncharacteristically gave Paul
a number of turns at the table per game. Paul took full advantage,
putting together some good runs, and in the 2nd game, getting to and
sinking the 8 for the game and match win, 1:1! With that, Paul
extended his undefeated streak to 4 matches for the current session.

So like last week, we won 2 and lost 3 against a very tough team; not
bad.

Next week we play Nice Rack, Melanie's team.
