Yeah. After having the power play for almost 4 minutes in overtime, the loss was disappointing. 3 more games to tie the record for most games with at least one point to start the season...

>> I arrived about 15 minutes late to find Ron Scott waiting for me. After some initial confusion as to which Paul was playing, we established that it was a 2:6 matchup. Ron won the lag but didn't sink anything on the break. I went on a five ball run and eventually won the game. I had some opportunities in the second game, but didn't capitalize. Ron was starting to warm up by the third game, but fortunately for me, he missed while shooting on the 8 and sank the cue off a three rail carom.

>> Let the strategery begin. Rob felt better about a 2:3 against Brian than a 3:2 against Gene, and we liked the idea of Adam against Gene in a 3:2. Unfortunately, despite being in a cast, Brian was on his game and gave Rob very few openings. Brian won 3-0.

>> Fortunately, the second half of our strategerizing worked out a bit better. Adam was on his game and won the first game by getting to the 8 first, then forcing Gene to attempt a safety that resulted in the 8 going down prematurely. In the second game, Adam struggled with the cursed southwest pocket, missing the 8 twice. Fortunately, the curse affected Gene as well, and after sinking the 8, the cue rebounded clear across the table and into the northeast pocket. Adam won the third game decisively, with half of Gene's balls still on the table.

>> We entered the night tied for fifth place, 3 points out of second and 8 points behind Nice Rack, the league leaders and tonight's opponent. After going 3-1, hopefully we have moved up a position or two, and we definitely gained ground on the leaders (although we remain 6 points behind).

>> Next week is Bass Ackward and a makeup game against Nice Rack.
