We played Les is More (Les's team).
Amy made a triumphant return to team Moe playing Fred in a 2:8. Amy
played as if she never took time off, defeating Fred in a 2:2 win!
Craig played next against Les in another 2:8. Craig was making a lot
of good shots and could have won a number of his games, but Les is a
tough opponent and ultimately denied Craig a win, shutting him out, 0:8.
Eric went next against new player Yaw, a friend of Adam D, in a 2:2.
Fortunately Yaw isn't as good as Adam and Eric made a match of it,
winning the 2nd game and getting to the 8 first in the 3rd, but with a
hard cut on the 8, he wasn't able to close the deal, losing to Yaw 1:2.
I played the 4th match against Mike, a 2:3. I was shooting OK, but
Mike got out to a quick 0:2 lead. I was able to hunker down and win
the next game, and after a nice run in the 4th, I left Mike with no
good shot on his balls, allowing me to sink the rest of mine and the 8
for the match, 2:2.
They didn't have a 5th player, so we'll need to make up a match.
Paul played the make up match from last week against Rich of Retarted
Monkeys in a 2:6. This was Paul's first match, and like most all of
us on our first match, it was a little rough going. Nonetheless, Paul
made some good shots and almost took one of the last games from Rich,
but experience finally won out with Rich winning the match 0:6.
