[POOL] Yesterday's Results

We entered the night tied for 5th, playing We Used to Be Good, Kevin's
team. 

Craig played first against Scott in a 2:6.  Craig was shooting well
while Scott was sending the 8 ball all over the table, but somehow
managed not to sink it out of turn.  Craig took one game, but couldn't
take another, so he went down, 1:6.

Paul played Kevin next in a 2:4.  Paul was shooting very well and
took Kevin down without trouble, 2:1.

Dave was next against Ed in a 1:5.  Dave shot well in the first game,
almost getting to the 8 before Ed, but then his aim started wavering,
and he couldn't get it back on track.  Ed won the match, 0:5.

Roger played the 4th match again Jim in a 2:3.  Roger decisively won
the 1st game, indecisively lost the 2nd, but then recovered and won
the 3rd, taking the match 2:1.

There were no more opponents left to face us for the 5th match, so
that will have to be made up next week.

In the make up match for last week, I played Danny in a 2:4.  I shot
well in the first game and won with a nice bank on the 8, but then I
started missing in the 2nd and 3rd games.  I straightened out my aim
in the 4th game, but just when it looked like Danny was going to win
with an easy setup on his last object ball and then the 8, he somehow
mananged to sink his ball but then send the cue all the way back
across the table and make an unlikely cut on the 8, sending it to a
corner pocket, giving me the game and the match, 2:2.

Next week we play You Get More with Les.  Craig and Paul will both be
out next week, so we'll need players so that they don't get Less with
Moe... :)
