Fred was on fire, which was unfortunate that Eric had to face him in
his very first match for the league, but baptism by fire, I guess. :)
Les was playing well too as usual, so Dave didn't have an easy match
either.  Unfortunately, both opponents were just too tough, so Eric
and Dave both lost.  The results for the night were thus 2 wins, 3 losses.

For the curious, the matchups and results were:

 Paul vs Matt;  2:4 => 2:3  W
Craig vs Steve; 2:7 => 0:7  L
 John vs Raly;  2:8 => 2:3  W
 Eric vs Fred;  2:4 => 0:4  L
 Dave vs Les;   1:7 => 0:7  L
