[POOL] Last night's results

We started the night in 5th place, 1 game ahead of two 6th place teams
and 2 games behind 2 3rd place teams.  Our challenger for the night
was Retarded Monkeys.

Jason played first against Jeese in a 5:4.  I missed the match, but
apparently Jason didn't get much of a chance to shoot, and when he
did, he was scaring object balls off the table.  Unfortunately, he was
only able to take one game and so went down, 1:4.

Brian T played next against Mike M in a 3:7.  Mike was playing well as
usual, but Brian was playing better, and won the match 3:4.

Next was Craig against Mike S in a 1:7.  I think Mike S is a new
player this season, but in any case, he's very good.  Craig was having
an off night though, and that combination meant Craig wasn't able to
coerce a win, even after strategically dangling the 8 in front of a
side pocket for Mike to sink prematurely.  Of course, it didn't help
that Craig was the one who wound up sinking it...  Craig lost, 0:7.

I was next against Rich in a 2:3.  Both Rich and I weren't shooting
great, but fortuantely I made shots when I had too, and Rich didn't
make shots when he had too (ie, scratched once on the 8), and I took
the match, 2:1.

Last up was Brian R against Ray in a 2:4.  Brian came in shooting
cold, but nevertheless won the first game handily.  After nearly
losing the 2nd game, Ray staged a rally, winning the 2nd through 4th
games, but regaining his confidence, Brian played a strong hill game
and took the match, 2:3.

So we won 3, lost 2.  Next week we play Les's team.  We still have 2
matches to make-up against them, so the plan is to play 7 matches next
week to get all caught up.
