<FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Hmmm.... oddly enough Tigerboard was designed for something like this in mind – it doesn’t stream, it will transfer and sync images between clients, and then display images at their full or scaled down if resolution is lower... and have a shared pointer, etc.<BR>

But unfortunately it’s no longer under development and the programmer didn’t release the source code to the agency it was done under, we just have the last fixed package. I’m rather disappointed in that. I would think it would still work – you can import images/folders of images into it and there is a copy of the package in the Argonne venue server lobby I see.<BR>

It has a built in server if you don’t want to run it via the Access Grid Venue Server (i.e. You can connect the client through a Tigerboard server or through the Access Grid Venue Server venue you’re in, it’s up to you). If you copy the package and rename it as .zip and open it up, you can run the application (server or client) separately (there were script or batch files accordingly for Windows or *nix OS’s.<BR>

I honestly haven’t run it in a little while now, so I’m not sure if it’s still working... <BR>

Thomas my goal is share images of live malaria parasites.<BR>
I would like these images to be as high resolution as possible as<BR>
the parasites are micrometers in size and right at the edge of what you<BR>
can see using light microscopy. So while both vpcscreen and<BR>
ScreenStreamer are great, I really want to share the images in all<BR>
their high resolution beauty. So what do I have to do to your<BR>
SharedImageViewer to let interested viewers see the images as <BR>
they come off of the camera?<BR>

Either of these are probably good options, though you said you didn't want a streaming solution.<BR>

Sometime back I wrote a simple SharedImageViewer demo application in Python that allows users to select local images to share with collaborators.<BR>
