hi, not sure if there's a built-in tool in AG 2.0 but you can download a nice little utility from detective.internet2.edu called internet detective. this will test for multicast connectivity, connection to the Abilene network, and bandwidth tests. running the beacon would allow to check your connectivity to various other sites. you should do this. vtc, i believe, is to connect to a multicast-unicast bridge if you don't have multicast enabled. hope this helps, -gurcharan associate director research computing dartmouth college --- Cifer wrote: Hi, I've some problem getting my audio and video to receive stream from anywhere except LAN. I've notice that my computer is trying to send packets to a multicast address, but do i have mbone running after i follow thru the setup from http://www.accessgrid.org/agdp/howto/ag2-0-install-pig.html ? Do i need to run beaconclient to connect to beaconserver.accessgrid.org:9997 and install vtc in order to get video and audio running?
