separate but coincidental occurrence, inSORS has recently (this week) deployed a
custom venue and bridge solution for NCHC in Taiwan. I have not determined
whether this group that made the initial request for help is aware of
this. I am contacting our contact at NCHC. We are also working with
our Asian partner, Best Systems, to assist in deploying AG nodes, software, and

Expertise and Volunteers to Assist in <BR>Establishing Emergency Response
Network to Combat SARS in Taiwan <BR><BR></B>Given the rapid spread of SARS
(severe acute respiratory syndrome), <BR>researchers at the National Center
for High-Performance Computing (NCHC) <BR>are working with the Department of
Health of Taiwan, the World Health <BR>Organization (WHO) of the United
Nations, and the Center for Disease <BR>Control (CDC) of the United States
to install access grid technology in <BR>three hospitals in the north of
Taiwan. <BR><BR>Our PRAGMA Partners at NCHC (<A
href="http://www.nchc.gov.tw/">http://www.nchc.gov.tw/</A>) are requesting
assistance from the world grid community for volunteers with expertise in
access grid technology to provide additional technical advice as and when
needed. <B>An immediate need</B> is for expertise in establishing an access
grid server in Taiwan. The need is immediate, as first steps need to be in
